What is an End-of-Life Doula
End-of-life doulas offer companionship, comfort, and guidance to individuals and their families facing terminal illness or nearing death. This non-medical, holistic support includes emotional, spiritual, and practical care. We provide resources to help individuals and their loved ones make informed choices in a compassionate environment.
Doulas can become involved at any point in a person’s life—whether after a terminal diagnosis, during a life-changing illness, when death approaches, or after a death for grief support. Family members and loved ones also seek guidance from end-of-life doulas.
Doulas normalize deathcare by facilitating open conversations, fostering better communication, and promoting emotional and spiritual well-being. By planning for death, individuals gain autonomy in their decisions and can clearly express their end-of-life wishes. Whether called death doulas, death midwives, or death coaches, we all strive to offer compassionate deathcare.
